Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to develop their skills within the hospitality industry. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout the shift
- Restocking supplies and ensuring all areas are tidy and organised for smooth operation
- Supporting the movement of ingredients and supplies within the kitchen
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently
- Supporting the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food service
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary

Pay: £12.71 per hour
