Join the floor team at one of the finest seafront venues on the south coast.
Southsea Beach Cafe on Clarence Esplanade reopened last month after an extensive renovation, and we're now trading as a premium destination for food and drink with uninterrupted views across the Solent. We're looking for strong, experienced waiters and waitresses to join our team and help deliver the standard of service the venue is built on.
This is a busy, customer facing role in a fast-moving environment. We want people who take real pride in looking after guests and who can keep their standards high when service is at its busiest.
Roles and responsibilities
- Deliver warm, attentive and polished service across every table
- Take orders accurately and confidently, with strong knowledge of the food and drink menus
- Make recommendations and answer guest questions to enhance every visit
- Keep sections clean, well presented and properly set throughout service
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth, well-timed service
- Handle guest queries and resolve issues calmly and professionally
- Support the wider team during busy periods and help keep service flowing
- Follow health, safety and food hygiene standards at all times
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a waiter or waitress in a busy venue
- A genuine passion for hospitality and looking after guests
- Confident menu knowledge and the ability to upsell naturally
- A calm, positive presence under pressure
- Strong team player who lifts the people around them
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
