Forecourt Cashier - Full time
Job Summary
Join our team as a Full-Time Forecourt Cashier at P J Nicholls Ltd. We are looking for a friendly and dependable individual to deliver excellent customer service while supporting fuel sales and convenience store operations across our four sites. This role is ideal for someone seeking full-time hours, (between 35-40 hours per week), in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process fuel payments and activate pumps following payment procedures
- Operate point-of-sale systems for convenience store merchandise
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries professionally
- Maintain cash register accuracy and handle various payment methods
- Keep forecourt and store areas clean, organised, and well-presented
- Restock shelves and maintain proper product displays
- Handle age-restricted sales with proper ID verification
- Follow all health and safety procedures and fuel handling protocols
Essential Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old (required for fuel and age-restricted sales)
- Strong customer service skills and friendly personality
- Basic numeracy skills for cash handling and transactions
- Reliable, punctual, and honest with strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Previous retail/customer service experience preferred but not essential

Working Hours
Working approximately 35-40 hours per week covering shifts - Monday-Sunday
4 shifts on / 2 shifts off - working across a 7 day rota
