Export Department – Export Coordinator
An individual who can work well on their own and in a busy team, who is flexible to adapting to the company’s business needs.
This role is based in our Felixstowe office.
Main responsibilities and tasks
* Process booking order received from customers, and in accordance with Cosco Shipping Lines (UK) Limited terms and conditions.
* Coordinate inland haulage collections and container releases as require with appropriate departments.
* Coordinate cross-booking for UK customers with cargo originating from European continent locations; and liaise with European bookings counterparts to ensure seamless service for UK customers.
* Process approvals for hazardous cargo with vessel operator and our operations department.
* To process amendments, cancellations and /or rolling of bookings; any subsequent changes to bookings in the booking system; ensuring any changes to transport are notified immediately.
* To ensure that the correct freight rates are input in accordance with the relevant service contract/tariff.
* Ensure customers are advised regarding all other additional ancillary charges, quay rent, demurrage and are invoiced accordingly.
* Inform customers base of key booking developments; or service changes affecting their shipments.
* Monitor incident of non-compliance and report monthly findings.
* Liaise with oversea offices on export customer services issues.
* Submit leads on possible new business and reporting shortfalls and excesses from specific customers to the inside sales team.
* Produce daily booking reports and forecasts.
* Manage export containers detention/demurrage, invoicing customers where DND incurred and applying for waivers with HQ where applicable.
* Daily VGM checks and follow ups with customers.
* General Administration duties.
Requirements
* Ability to analyse data, strong analytical/problem solving skills, good initiatives.
* Strong MS office skills, Excel, intermediate level and above.
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, flexibility in approach to workload, strong organisational skills, able to prioritise with proactive approach.
* An effective communicator, resilient, able to work in a team and on your own(self-management)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
