Purpose of the Role:
The Marketing, Events & School Experiences Coordinator is responsible for shaping how St Mark’s communicates, celebrates and connects with its community.
The postholder will lead school communications, digital engagement, events, publications and educational visit coordination to ensure pupils, families and visitors experience the very best of St Mark’s.
Working closely with SLT and operational teams, the role combines creativity, organisation and project management to deliver exceptional experiences and strengthen the school’s reputation.
Core Focus: Marketing & Communications

Strategy: Deliver the school’s communications and marketing plan.
Social Media: Manage social media platforms and maintain a consistent online presence.
Content Creation: Create engaging content including photography, reels and video.
Planning: Develop and maintain a structured communications calendar.
Publications: Produce newsletters and targeted communications in line with GDPR.
Digital Presence: Maintain and update website content including statutory and promotional information.
Analysis: Monitor engagement metrics and recommend improvements.
Campaigns: Support pupil recruitment and admissions campaigns.
Events & School Experiences
You will lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of milestone moments that bring our
community together, including:
- Open Days and Open Evenings
- Transition and admissions events
- Parent events and celebrations
- Performances and showcases
- Proms and Graduation ceremonies
- Whole-school events and enrichment activities
Operational Delivery Responsibilities:
- Logistics: Comprehensive event planning, scheduling, venue setup, and vendor
coordination.
- Publicity: Managing promotional timelines, communications, and guest
invitations.
- Media Capture: Ensuring high-quality photography and media capture are
executed live during school showcases.
- Evaluation: Carrying out rigorous event reviews, budget tracking, and
performance evaluations.
Educational Visits & Trips
Take absolute responsibility for the complete end-to-end administration and
coordination of all educational visits across the school calendar.
- End-to-End Coordination: Manage all educational visits and trips from initial
operational proposal through to completion.
- Timeline Management: Keep trip leaders on schedule regarding administrative
approval milestones.
- Compliance & Paperwork: Ensure all educational visits paperwork is completed
accurately and submitted on time.
- Risk Assessments (RA): Coordinate and quality assure Risk Assessments and
safety documentation.
- Parent Communication: Formulate parental information packs, consent trails,
and localized communication plans.
- Safeguarding Metrics: Maintain precise records to verify staffing ratios,
compliance parameters, and medical details are met.
- Optimisation: Develop new internal tracking systems and processes to improve
efficiency across all school excursions.
Design & Commercial Activity
- Visual Identity: Maintain school branding guidelines, designing bespoke internal
brochures, posters, and print publications.
- Visual Storytelling: Create engaging displays across the physical school
corridors to enhance the visitor experience from the moment they cross the
threshold.
- Commercial Opportunities: Promote school lettings, multi-use spaces, and
community enterprise openings.
- Commercial Conversion: Act as a creative point of contact for external hire
enquiries and tour bookings.
- Data Intelligence: Produce comprehensive quarterly reports evaluating data
trends across communication channels, venue bookings, and trip attendances.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
Experience in:
- Marketing, communications, events or project coordination.
- Managing multiple priorities and strict deadlines
- Coordinating complex administrative processes.
- Producing professional written communications.
Desirable:
Experience in:
- Working within an educational sector
- Coordinating educational visits or school trips.
- Using EVOLVE or equivalent compliance systems.
- Direct background in photography, video editing, or content creation.
- Advanced proficiency using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or website CMS platforms.
