Nottingham | Part-time (4 hours/day, Mon–Fri) | Mostly home-based, 1–2 days/week in our Nottingham office
About us
Collective Build is a fast-growing property maintenance and refurbishment contractor working with build-to-rent clients across the UK.
We manage everything from day-to-day repairs to full property turnarounds for our clients, coordinating a network of contractors and keeping every job on track from first enquiry through to completion.
The opportunity
This is a genuinely exciting time to join us. We're growing quickly, and this role is a chance to get in at the ground floor of a small business and help shape how it runs as it scales. You won't be joining something rigid and already set in stone : You'll have real input into how our systems and processes work, and plenty of room to grow into more responsibility as the business grows, and it is growing, quickly.
Our niche and specialism sits in the Build to Rent industry, a fast growing part of the trades world and a great opportunity. As a long of industries stall and stagnate, there's a huge demand for decent trades businesses - with our client base, and growing, I am confident in our continued growth.
What you'll be doing- This isn't limited to, and needs to be flexible.
- Creating and logging new jobs as they come in
- Updating and maintaining our files, trackers and systems
- Ordering materials for upcoming jobs
- Helping plan and schedule jobs directly with the director
- Keeping contractors and jobs on track day to day
- General administrative support to keep the business running smoothly: Think filing, ensuring our automation works.
There may also be the opportunity to get out on site and see jobs in person from time to time — this isn't a desk-only role if that's something that interests you.
What we're looking for
- Organised, disciplined and structured in how you work
- Able to use your own initiative and get on with things without needing everything spelled out
- Some operations or admin experience is ideal, but a strong attitude matters more than a perfect CV
- Comfortable learning new tools and systems
- Reliable and consistent — able to commit to the same hours each day.
- Someone who, for now, can manage a part time role but who is keen to grow with the business and sees the genuine opportunity.
