We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Parts Controller to join our team, based at Fix Auto Castleford and supporting both our Castleford and Barnsley sites.
This is a key role within our accident repair operation, ensuring the correct parts are ordered, received and available when required, helping our teams meet repair targets and customer completion dates.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ordering and receiving all parts required for the Castleford and Barnsley sites.
- Accurately recording all parts orders and receipts for financial and operational purposes.
- Monitoring parts supplier performance and reporting any issues to the Manager.
- Obtaining parts in good time to ensure vehicle repair and completion dates are achieved.
- Producing clear and accurate parts orders from the information provided.
- Ensuring all parts orders and documentation are recorded accurately.
- Chasing outstanding parts and supplier orders on a daily basis.
- Ensuring all parts are correctly invoiced to the relevant repair job.
- Managing the return of parts to suppliers and ensuring credits are processed where required.
- Ensuring supplier deadlines are met and parts are available when required.
- Working closely with the Workshop, Estimating and Administration teams to keep repairs progressing efficiently.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to work effectively in a busy accident repair environment.
Previous experience as a Parts Controller or in a similar automotive parts role would be advantageous, with a good understanding of vehicle repair processes and parts ordering.
You will ideally have:
- Excellent organisational and administration skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple orders.
- Good communication and supplier management skills.
- A proactive approach to chasing outstanding parts.
- The ability to support operations across both Castleford and Barnsley.
- Previous experience within the motor trade or accident repair industry is desirable.
