· We require the new team member to work 3 shifts across the below shift pattern:
· Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 15:30 to 21:30
· Friday - 17:00 to 23:00
Role Specific Information
We are seeking caring, committed and enthusiastic Support Workers to join a dedicated 2:1 support team for a young person with complex clinical and personal care needs, living at home with his family.
The young person we support requires assistance both within his family home and when accessing the community. He has a PEG for nutrition and medication administration, Epilepsy which presents as drop seizures, and is registered blind, therefore requiring guidance and reassurance when mobilising.
Previous clinical experience is welcomed but not essential, as full specialist training and ongoing competency support will be provided by our Registered Nurse. What is most important to us is finding people with the right values, attitude and willingness to learn.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will play an important part in supporting a young person to live a safe, fulfilling and enjoyable life. The role involves supporting with daily routines, personal care, social activities, communication, and helping to promote independence and confidence in a way that is meaningful to him.
Due to the nature of the support provided, you will always work alongside another experienced member of staff as part of a 2:1 team. We are therefore looking for individuals who communicate well, work collaboratively and can build positive, professional relationships with both colleagues and family members.
