Job Description: Corporate Reserving Actuarial Analyst
How does this role contribute to our collective success?
As a member of the Corporate Reserving team, this role will support efforts related to the quarterly reserving process for AXIS. The Corporate Reserving team will support various reserving areas including our Product Line and Regulatory teams and will have exposure to all lines of business written by AXIS.
What will you be doing in this role?
Reserving
Assist in producing the AXIS quarterly reserving estimates.
Assist with the peer review of the Product Line quarterly reserve analyses and validation of the selected actuarial estimates.
Support reserve meetings for the quarterly reserving process.
Assist with the development of new diagnostics tools and reports to improve the quarterly process and provide MI to colleagues across AXIS.
Other
Assist with additional project work including deep dives of specific lines of business.
Assist in the annual Planning exercise, liaising closely with Pricing and Risk Functions.
Provide support for other Group Functions (Finance, Risk, Investments) as required.
You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Industry experience with an insurance, reinsurance, or consulting background in reserving, pricing, or modeling roles preferred.
Actively working to qualify as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or equivalent.
What we would like you to have:
Knowledge of various insurance products, including familiarity with delegated underwriting authority, Lloyd's of London, and reinsurance.
Experience with management information systems (e.g., database and application development).
Intermediate to advanced Excel, SQL Server, VBA capabilities; additional experience with ResQ, PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Oracle or similar applications is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work occasional extended hours and travel on business as required.
Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

In this role, you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.
