Experienced Housekeeper / Cleaner

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and experienced Housekeeper to help maintain a large private residence to a consistently high standard.
This is a long-term position for someone who takes pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail and enjoys keeping a home clean, organised and welcoming.
The successful candidate will work independently and become an important part of the household.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning all rooms to a high standard.
- Vacuuming, dusting and polishing throughout the property.
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas.
- Changing and laundering bed linen.
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation.
- Ensuring the house remains tidy and well presented at all times.
- Organising cupboards and household storage.
- Emptying bins and managing household waste and recycling.
- Monitoring and reporting when household supplies need replenishing.
- Assisting with light meal preparation and simple home cooking.
- Running occasional household errands if required.
- Caring for household furnishings and finishes with attention to detail.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous housekeeping or domestic cleaning experience.
- Be trustworthy, discreet and respectful of privacy.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Take pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards.
- Be well organised and able to work independently.
- Be reliable and punctual.
- Be physically fit and capable of maintaining a large property.
- Have a friendly, positive and professional attitude.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a private household.
- Comfortable preparing simple, healthy home-cooked meals.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent references.

Hours
Flexible depending on the successful candidate.
