Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles to transport goods efficiently across various routes. Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations
- Plan and follow efficient routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure loads properly on flatbeds, ensuring stability during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members throughout the delivery process
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (or equivalent) commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures for large trucks
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems for route planning
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
- Nice-to-have skills include experience with flatbed transportation, commercial driving expertise, and previous delivery driver roles
