Job Description
World Wide Solutions Group Ltd is looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Assistant / Handyman to support general maintenance, repairs and decorating work.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable and able to complete a variety of basic maintenance tasks to a good standard. This role would suit someone with previous experience in general property maintenance, painting and decorating, facilities maintenance or handyman work.
Main Duties
The role will include a mixture of general maintenance tasks, including:
- Painting and decorating
- Preparing walls and surfaces for painting
- Touch-up painting and making good
- Basic repairs and general handyman duties
- Putting up shelves, fixtures, signs and other fittings
- Minor repairs to doors, handles, locks and fittings
- Basic furniture assembly and repairs
- General property and facilities maintenance
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and tidy
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Assisting with other maintenance tasks as required
What We're Looking For
Previous maintenance, handyman or painting and decorating experience is preferred.
The successful candidate should be:
- Practical and confident carrying out basic repairs
- Competent with painting and decorating
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to follow instructions and complete jobs to a good standard
- Flexible regarding duties and working locations
- Health and safety conscious
- Physically capable of carrying out general maintenance work
- Able to work effectively as part of a team when required
Experience
Maintenance / Handyman: 1 year preferred
Painting & Decorating: Experience preferred
About the Role
This is a varied position where no two days may be the same. We are looking for someone who is willing to get stuck in and help with a range of maintenance jobs, rather than someone specialising in only one trade.
