The Role
We are currently seeking an office-based Sales Support, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. This is a varied and important role within our growing business supporting the wider sales function. We are looking for someone who understands the principles of selling and is driven, commercially minded, hungry for results, and passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience. You will play a key role in supporting existing customer relationships, and ensuring the sales process runs smoothly from initial enquiry through to order fulfilment and invoicing. As the role is office-based, you will need to be confident and personable on the phone, comfortable proactively engaging with customers, and highly organised with excellent attention to detail when managing administrative and commercial tasks. Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales team.
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and other communication channels.
- Proactive approach to both inbound and outbound customer related calls, both for orders and general enquiries.
- Maintain up to date and relevant customer and sales records within the CRM system.
- Coordinate with customers, sales, logistics, finance, and other internal teams.
- Monitor orders and assist with resolving delivery, invoicing, or product queries.
- Assist with customer onboarding and account administration.
- General customer service support and administration
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as required and coordination of all order shipments.
- Liaising with customers to ensure all requested documents are either uploaded onto their system or sent by email.
- Provide absence cover and support for the wider team where required.
- Attend and represent the company at Trade Shows or industry events
- Co-ordinate export orders and shipments, working with customers, freight forwarders, logistics providers and internal teams to ensure the correct documentation is prepared and shipments are completed efficiently and on time.
- Prepare, check and manage export and shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates and other documents required for international shipments.
About You:
- Previous experience in sales support, sales administration, customer service, or a similar role.
- Exceptional time management skills with ability to plan and manage multiple tasks at once through a proactive and driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals
- Excellent negotiation and communication skilled with enthusiastic, personable, and entrepreneurial nature with strong attention to detail
- Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals to maximise opportunities
- Good capability on Excel, Word and PowerPoint with an ability to learn new IT systems.
Due to our office location, you will require a reliable mode of transport to get to/from the office.
Pay: Up to £32,500.00 per year
