We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status and any changes in behaviour or condition
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
- Support with medication administration as per training and guidelines
- Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings when required (driving skills beneficial)
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times
- A genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals and improve their quality of life
