About us
Chamarel is an established care provider with over 30 years' experience supporting vulnerable people to live safe, fulfilling lives. We are now opening a new children's residential home at 104 Tolworth Park Road, Tolworth - a 6 bed home providing care for children and young people.
We are looking for a Registered Manager to be the named applicant on our Ofsted registration and to lead the home from day one. You'll be fully supported throughout the registration process by Chamarel's qualified Responsible Individual (RI), and you'll have the rare opportunity to shape a brand-new service from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
- Be the named Registered Manager on the Ofsted application.
- Complete and submit the SC2 Registered Manager application with supporting evidence (qualifications, references, enhanced DBS, right to work, health declaration).
- Prepare for and pass the Ofsted fit-person interview, supported by the RI.
- Ensure the service is set up to evidence compliance with all nine Quality Standards under the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
- On registration, take up the full-time Registered Manager role and run the service day to day.
Person specification
Essential qualifications and experience
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent / working towards).
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Manager in a children's service.
- Able to meet Ofsted suitability requirements and pass the fit-person interview.
Desirable
- Experience opening or registering a new children's home.
- Track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
