Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
- Support the cooking team by following recipes and food safety guidelines to deliver high-quality meals
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling components for dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations at all times
- Serve food to guests or assist servers during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Basic cooking skills with an understanding of kitchen safety procedures
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues during busy shifts
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and uphold cleanliness standards at all times
- Prior experience in meal preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate!
