Dental Nurse

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:10pm

We are looking for an experienced Dental Nurse who is confident, caring and resilient, with a strong commitment to clinical standards and patient care.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Current GDC registration and a commitment to maintaining your registration.
- Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse.
- A strong understanding of infection prevention and control procedures.
- Experience providing high-quality clinical support to dentists and specialists.
- The ability to prepare surgeries, equipment, materials and patients efficiently and safely.
- A thorough understanding of relevant health and safety requirements, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control and clinical waste disposal.
- A calm, confident and resilient manner, with the ability to manage potentially challenging situations professionally.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease.
- A commitment to keeping your knowledge and skills up to date through CPD and maintaining appropriate records.
- A flexible, team-focused approach, including willingness to support with reception and treatment coordinator duties when required.

About the role
As a Dental Nurse at Bromley Park Dental and Implant Centre, you will provide high-quality clinical support to our dentists and specialists, helping to ensure that every patient receives safe, efficient and compassionate care.
You will play an important role in maintaining high clinical standards, preparing surgeries and equipment, supporting infection control procedures and creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for our patients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and specialists.
- Deliver high-quality dental nursing across a range of procedures in a safe and effective manner.
- Prepare equipment, materials, surgeries and patients efficiently and with empathy.
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised clinical environment.
- Follow excellent infection prevention and control procedures.
- Assist with the maintenance and smooth running of the surgery.
- Ensure patients are kept comfortable and at ease throughout their visit.
- Use appropriate communication techniques and practice scripts where necessary to reassure patients.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control and waste disposal.
- Maintain current GDC registration and keep CPD records up to date.
- Provide ad hoc support with reception and treatment coordinator duties.
- Undertake other reasonable duties required to support the effective running of the practice.
