Team Leader – Children's Residential Home
Location: Rugeley
Salary: £28,041 - £33,367 + £50 sleep in rate
Hours: Full-time, including shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins (where applicable)

Beacon Childcare is looking for a passionate, committed, and experienced Team Leader to join our Children's Residential Home in Rugeley.
Our home provides care and support for looked-after children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where young people can build positive relationships, develop life skills, and achieve their full potential.
As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading by example, supporting the Registered Manager, and providing guidance, supervision, and mentoring to our Residential Childcare Workers (RCWs) throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead shifts and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
- Support, supervise, and guide Residential Childcare Workers.
- Build positive, therapeutic relationships with children and young people.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all children is always the highest priority.
- Support young people with their emotional, behavioural, educational, and day-to-day living needs.
- Complete and oversee accurate records and documentation.
- Work alongside families and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children in our care.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma (or NVQ Level 3) in Children and Young People's Residential Care, or currently working towards the qualification.
- Experience working within a children's residential setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting looked-after children with emotional and behavioural needs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence (automatic or manual) held for a minimum of 12 months, as driving the company vehicle is an essential part of the role.
- Successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check before employment commences.
