Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Weekend Cafe Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
Duties
- Serve customers with a warm and professional attitude, taking orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, tea, and light snacks, adhering to food safety standards
- Operate coffee machines and other kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and food preparation zones
- Manage cash register operations with basic maths skills for handling payments and giving change
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Assist in food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team when required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours
Experience
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards is beneficial
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
