THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION WITH THE VIEW TO TURN PERMANENT AFTER THREE MONTHS.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality care and support to residents during the night, ensuring their comfort, dignity and wellbeing are maintained at all times
- Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, grooming, toileting and dressing where required
- Carry out regular wellbeing checks and respond promptly to residents’ needs during the night
- Support residents to feel safe, reassured and comfortable, promoting a calm and restful environment
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying rooms and maintaining a clean, safe and homely environment
- Accurately monitor and report any changes in residents’ condition or behaviour to the senior member of staff on duty
- Work as part of the team to ensure high standards of care and safety are maintained
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not essential as training can be provided
- A compassionate, patient and caring nature
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, professional and committed to providing high quality care
