Working closely with the DigiTEC Director and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining, planning and delivering key project workstreams, ensuring objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements. Your ability to influence at all levels, manage governance and risk, and translate complex requirements into clear project plans will be vital to the success of this high-profile programme.

We have an exciting opportunity based at our City Centre Campus (CCM) to join our new DigiTEC Department as a DigiTEC Project Manager. This role is offered on a 3-year fixed term contract, working on a full-time (35 hours per week), hybrid basis between CCM and home. Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective project management processes and procedures (based on PRINCE2 methodology), working in collaboration with the DigiTEC Director
- Ensure that the Technical Excellence College project is consistently on time, within budget and that all project objectives are met
- Have ability to understand, interpret and create project materials in response to requirements. This will include using initiative and working independently to translate the contract requirements into project outputs and deliverables
- Develop and maintain complex MS Project Plans, schedules and key implementation documents required by the customer and internally.
- Use a range of IT tools (predominately MS Project and Office tools such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint) to an advanced level
- Working as part of a team who are collectively responsible for establishing a DigiTEC strategic framework, demonstrating the ability to establish project processes and procedures aligned to the project requirements and PRINCE2 methodology

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Hold a minimum of PRINCE 2 Project Management (Foundation and Practitioner) qualification
- Have a minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of project management frameworks and governance approaches
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and produce high-quality reports.
- Demonstrate a commercially aware, delivery-focused approach, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical plans and successful outcomes.
- Be a self-sufficient motivator who utilises their experience to work at pace to project deadlines
- Demonstrate advanced planning and organisational skills and an ability to delegate effectively and proactively identify obstacles
- Showcase excellent financial and cost management capability
- Demonstrate an ability to navigate and understand government contracts and manage stakeholders across multiple diverse teams.
- Have honed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prioritise customer centricity and stakeholder management
- Showcase first-class MS Office skills for project management, presentations and reporting
