Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalised care, fostering independence, and ensuring safety. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, or requiring hospice care. Candidates with experience in senior care, caregiving, or childcare are encouraged to apply. All positions are paid, including internships.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised patient care, supporting daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Manage behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies to promote a calm environment
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required
- Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a caring environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living in accordance with individual care plans
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, and general senior care is advantageous
- Relevant qualifications such as first aid certification are preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Valid driving licence for transportation duties
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days and evenings as needed
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation and dietary management

Pay: £14.80-£14.90 per hour
