SW Performance Coaching is a growing coaching company delivering high-quality PE lessons, after-school clubs, holiday camps, alternative provision and weekly community sessions across Leicestershire. Following the successful award of a new contract supporting autistic children in an alternative education setting, we are looking for an outstanding Head Coach to help lead and develop our expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact through sport, physical activity and inclusive education.
The Role
As Head Coach, you will work across our primary school provision and our new alternative provision, leading by example and ensuring the highest standards of coaching and delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality PE lessons, sports leadership programmes and after-school clubs.
- Leading sport and physical activity sessions for autistic children and young people within an alternative provision setting.
- Supporting, mentoring and managing coaching staff.
- Planning and delivering inclusive, engaging and differentiated sessions.
- Building positive relationships with school staff, pupils and parents.
- Monitoring the quality of delivery and helping develop our coaching programmes.
- Supporting the continued growth and reputation of SW Performance Coaching.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience delivering PE and sports coaching in schools.
- Is a confident leader with excellent communication skills.
- Has experience working with children with additional needs, or a genuine passion to learn and develop in this area.
- Is reliable, organised and highly professional.
- Can inspire children of all abilities to enjoy being active.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
Essential
- Level 2 Sports Coaching qualification (minimum).
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Safeguarding qualification (or willingness to complete training).
- First Aid qualification
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- AFPE Level 5 qualification
- Experience in SEND or alternative provision.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
