About the Role
Justteachers are seeking a compassionate and resilient Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a primary school in Cleckheaton. This rewarding role involves working closely with children who have a range of complex learning, communication, and physical needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils access education, develop independence, and achieve personal goals. Working alongside teachers, support staff, and external professionals, you will provide tailored support to ensure every child receives the best possible educational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with complex educational and additional needs.
- Assist with personalised learning programmes.
- Promote communication and social development.
- Implement individual support plans.
- Encourage pupil independence and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
Requirements
- Experience supporting children with SEND or complex needs.
- Understanding of inclusive education practices.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
