Job Summary
We are local independent Bosch Service Centre We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester Class 4 & 7 / Technician to join our professional automotive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment. Working Hours
- Mon - Thurs 8am to 5pm
- Fri 8am to 4.30pm
Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles in compliance with current legislation and safety standards.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, identifying faults and advising on necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out minor repairs, adjustments, and component replacements as required.
- Assist with vehicle repairs, including heavy lifting tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed, including detailed reports of findings and recommendations.
- Ensure the workshop remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in MOT legislation and technical developments within the automotive sector.
Qualifications
- Valid MOT Tester Class 4 & 7 certification recognised by the DVSA.
- Proven experience working as an MOT tester or automotive technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose faults accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Full driving licence is essential for job requirements.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
