GRP Production Operative
Pontypool, South Wales
Due to the continued growth of Brick Fabrication and the increased demands for GRP Products we are looking to recruit a GRP Production Operator to enhance our existing GRP Team.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is looking for a new challenge where you can develop your existing skills and knowledge across the business.
Reporting to the GRP Team Leader, you will be mainly working in the GRP department with responsibility for the production of GRP products. The position will also provide cover to the VRTM department to meet production demands.
The Position
§ Lay-up of GRP moulds
§ Preparation of moulds
§ Assembly of completed components
§ Trimming and finishing
§ Working safely and effectively with glue, resins, catalysts and associated products
§ Woodworking
§ Operating machinery
The Person
§ Experience of working in a busy production environment
§ Knowledge of Health & Safety and the requirements for working with GRP
§ Experience and knowledge of engineering drawings and production job sheets
§ Experience of producing work to a high standard of accuracy and quality
§ Time management skills – Organised, planned approach and able to meet deadlines
§ Interpersonal skills – Communication and multi-functional team working
§ Reliable with an excellent attendance record
§ Able to work with little supervision following initial training and induction
The Package
§ Hours of Work – 40 hours per week (weekend and shift working may be required)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
