We are seeking a caring and self -motivated individual who wants to learn and develop themselves in an Early Years environment.
As an Apprentice you will have the fantastic opportunity to complete a work-based learning programme that leads to a recognised Early Years qualification. Supported and mentored by an in-house qualified Early Years Practitioner and an external apprenticeship provider, throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain experience in planning for children’s learning and development, contribute towards activities for the children, learn how to use an online learning journal, learn how to provide reports on children’s development, and very importantly have a hands-on positive impact on children’s learning outcomes
As very much part of the nursery team, you will be contracted to 35 hours per week. Our shifts vary Monday to Friday, though initially your core hours will be from 9am to 4.30pm. Whilst your course work will be completed outside work, you will be allocated some hours during the working week to further support your studies.
As an important member of the team your daily tasks will include the following:
· Supporting children’s learning and development
· Observing and recording children’s development
· Providing personal care to the children and supporting them at meal and sleep times
· Communicating with parents
We aim to offer all our apprentices a full-time position upon successful completion of their apprenticeship.
We are well established nursery set on the grounds of Bowthorpe Hall in Norwich with a wonderful natural outdoor area and where we also run Forest School sessions. We value staff feedback, thoughts and ideas to our nursery ‘vision’ and we are committed to encouraging personal development for all team members. contributing your thoughts and ideas to create a stimulating and nurturing environment in rooms across the nursery.
The Nursery is situated in Bowthorpe, Norwich and we are on the Orange Line 21 / 22 bus route. We also have plenty of staff parking available.
