We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team in Scarborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Assemble mechanical parts and components according to technical specifications and drawings
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the setup of assembly stations and prepare materials for production shifts
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve assembly processes
- Document assembly activities accurately for quality control records
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with an understanding of basic engineering principles
- Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers
- Proficiency with power tools relevant to mechanical assembly tasks
- Previous experience in assembly roles, preferably within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Organised, detail-oriented, with good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is important
