Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and assisting with guest inquiries to guarantee a memorable stay. Prior experience in hospitality is advantageous, but a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
- Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries both in person and via telephone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience
- Handle guest requests and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of guest details and billing information
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are prepared and well-maintained
- Process payments securely and issue receipts as required
- Uphold the hotel's standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guests effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on courteous phone etiquette
- Previous experience in hotel reception or guest services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Knowledge of hotel management software systems is advantageous but not essential
