The Cliff Hotel & Spa is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy and supportive kitchen team.
This is a vital role within the kitchen, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of operations. You’ll be an important part of the team, supporting chefs and helping to keep everything running efficiently behind the scenes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas
- Ensure all dishes, cutlery, equipment, and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and effectively, including manual washing when required
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors in line with food safety standards
- Follow cleaning schedules for kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, refrigerators, and dishwashers
- Complete and sign cleaning checklists as required
- Sweep and mop floors after service and ensure waste and recycling is disposed of correctly
- Store food items safely and maintain clean, organised storage areas
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation duties where required and as trained

The role:
- Full-time and part-time hours available
- Shifts will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Hourly rate will vary depending on age, in line with National Minimum Wage
