We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify potential security threats.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and manage visitor sign-in procedures to control site entry.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious activities and intervening when necessary.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including emergencies, alarms, or disturbances, following established protocols.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs accurately for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Assist with crowd control during events or busy periods to ensure safety and order are maintained.
- Conduct routine checks of security equipment, including CCTV systems, alarms, and communication devices, ensuring they are operational at all times.
- Provide first aid assistance when required, demonstrating calmness and professionalism in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is essential.
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations with calmness and decisiveness.
- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training is advantageous.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and visitors.
- Physically fit to perform patrols and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights or weekends if required.
