Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in a fabulous CQC rated Good Dementia Care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their well-being. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about caring for others and committed to making a positive difference in people's lives. Applicants should possess strong communication skills, be proficient in English, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Implementing and updating personalised care plans in collaboration with senior staff
- Administering medication as directed by healthcare professionals (where qualified)
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care
- Supporting emotional well-being through companionship and active listening
- Assisting with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Driving between different care locations or visits as required (driving skills preferred)
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable
- Good IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately and sensitively
- Experience in handling sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
