About the Role
My Property Pros is a growing, family-run exterior cleaning company covering Kingswinford, Stourbridge and surrounding areas.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Exterior Cleaning Operative to join our team.
This is a hands-on outdoor role where no two days are quite the same. You'll work on both residential and commercial properties carrying out a range of exterior cleaning services.
The role will initially be part-time, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time 40-hour-per-week position as you develop your skills, complete your training and become confident working independently.
Previous experience is welcome but isn't essential. Full training will be provided to the right person. What matters most to us is reliability, a good work ethic, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
Your duties will include:
- Window cleaning using water-fed pole and traditional methods
- Gutter clearance and exterior gutter cleaning
- Roof cleaning and moss removal
- Soft washing and biocide treatments
- Pressure washing driveways, patios and paths
- Cleaning fascias, soffits and other exterior surfaces
- Driving a company van between jobs
- Setting up, using and looking after professional cleaning equipment
- Speaking with customers and providing a friendly, professional service
- Completing basic job notes and customer information
- Keeping the van, equipment and work areas clean and organised
The role involves working at height, including the safe use of ladders and specialist equipment. Full training will be provided.
What We're Looking For
You should:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and meet our vehicle insurance requirements
- Live within a reasonable travelling distance of Kingswinford/Stourbridge
- Be physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual outdoor work
- Be happy working outside throughout the year
- Be reliable, punctual and organised
- Take pride in doing a job properly
- Have good attention to detail
- Be friendly, polite and confident dealing with customers
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be willing to learn new skills and follow training and safety procedures
- Have basic computer/smartphone skills for job information and notes
Experience
Experience in window cleaning, pressure washing, roof cleaning, soft washing, property maintenance, landscaping, construction or a similar hands-on role would be an advantage.
However, experience is not essential.
We're happy to train somebody who has the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
What We Offer
- £12.71–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience, ability and responsibility
- Part-time hours initially
- Opportunity to progress into a full-time 40-hour-per-week role
- Progression as training is completed and you become confident working independently
- 3% employer pension contribution
- Full training provided
- Company van provided for work use
- Uniform provided
- Professional equipment and systems
- Varied work – you're not doing the same job every day
- Opportunity to develop your skills
- Potential for increased pay and responsibility as you progress
- A long-term position within a growing local business
The Person We're Looking For
This role will suit somebody who enjoys practical work and would rather be outdoors and active than sitting behind a desk all day.
We're particularly interested in somebody who is dependable and takes pride in their work. We have high standards, look after our equipment and properties, and expect our team to represent the business professionally when dealing with customers.
We're looking for someone who wants a steady, long-term position and is interested in developing their skills.
For the right person, the aim is for the role to grow as they complete their training, become more experienced and are able to confidently manage jobs independently.
