Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, covering styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, or hip-hop.
- Create a welcoming and motivating environment that encourages students to develop their dance skills and express themselves confidently.
- Demonstrate proper technique and movement to students, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Organise rehearsals for upcoming performances or competitions, guiding students through choreography and stage presence.
- Monitor student progress regularly and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all classes, including warm-up exercises and injury prevention measures.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to develop curriculum content and organise special workshops or events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour consistent with the academy’s standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching dance to diverse age groups; formal teaching qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles, techniques, and choreography.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Organisational skills to plan lessons effectively and manage class schedules efficiently.
- Passion for dance and education, with a positive attitude towards fostering student growth.
- Ability to work flexibly during Term time after and before school hours.
- A recognised qualification in dance or performing arts is preferred.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
