Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding pharmacy team at Kingsfield Medical Centre — a well-regarded GP Training Practice in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
The post holder will focus specifically on processing daily patient electronic medication requests, working systematically through prescription renewals and identifying any outstanding clinical actions required. All clinical decisions, result interpretation and final sign-off remain with our GP team, meaning this role carries a clearly defined and well-supported scope of practice.
This is an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist or experienced pharmacy technician looking for flexible, rewarding primary care work in a well-supported and friendly environment.

- Renew prescriptions where appropriate and pass to the supervising GP for final sign-off
- Identify out-of-date or discontinued medications and flag accordingly
- Identify overdue chronic disease monitoring and arrange appropriate blood tests
- Identify overdue blood pressure checks and coordinate these with the patient
- Liaise with the wider clinical team where escalation is needed
- Maintain accurate and timely records within the clinical system
What We Offer:
- Flexible 15-hour working week, with days and times to be agreed
- Hybrid working — predominantly remote, with the expectation to attend the surgery in the event of IT issues, training, or when otherwise required
- Daily GP supervision and clinical oversight
- Integration into an established, friendly team of two experienced full-time clinical pharmacists
- A supportive, well-resourced training practice environment
We Are Looking For:
- A GPhC-registered Clinical Pharmacist or an experienced GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician
- Previous primary care or GP practice experience
- Comfortable working independently and remotely using clinical IT systems (EMIS)
- Strong attention to detail and a systematic, protocol-driven approach
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
