About the Role
We are hiring a Junior Manufacturing Systems Business Analyst to play a key role in supporting the development and optimisation of our business systems and processes. The role works closely with production and IT team to support system enhancements, data analysis, and digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation and maintenance of a new Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. This is an entry-level role that combines business analysis, manufacturing knowledge, and technology.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and IT functions while developing valuable skills in MRP systems, business analysis, data management and digital transformation.

We deliver all aspects of design, engineering, testing and manufacture from a single facility. This vertical integration represents considerable supply chain benefits to our customers and a broad working environment for our teams.
In addition we deliver full vehicle development, including chassis and powertrain, to high net-worth heritage racers via our heritage racing division, ADP Classic Racing. We restore and rebuild high-end classic racing cars, prepare drivers, manage a programme of touring and racing, and provide full event support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to meet business requirements.
- Assist in the administration and continuous improvement of MRP, PMO platforms, reporting tools, and other core business systems.
- Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, IT, and other business stakeholders to deliver system enhancements and business projects.
- Analyse and map business processes, translating business needs into effective and efficient system solutions.
- Support the management and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BoMs), product structures, and associated master data.
- Produce and maintain business documentation, including process maps, functional specifications, user stories, and requirements documentation.
- Support the integration of data between the MRP system and connected business applications, including PLM and reporting platforms.
- Assist with data migration, validation, cleansing, and ongoing data governance to ensure high levels of data accuracy and integrity.
- Participate in system configuration, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and post-implementation support to ensure successful system delivery.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data analysis to provide business insights and support informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system functionality, and operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop user guides, training documentation, and support materials to facilitate successful system adoption and user engagement.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities while developing business analysis, systems, and project management skills.
Skills & Experience Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate a combination of technical aptitude, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach. You will ideally have:
- A degree, or be expecting to graduate, in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is desirable
- A genuine interest in business systems, MRP solutions, and digital transformation, with knowledge of MRP systems considered advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to evaluate business requirements and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, with a willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and business processes.
- The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
- An appreciation of the importance of data integrity, governance, and adherence to established business processes.
- A structured, solution-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally within the UK to support business and project requirements.
The role requires a flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to business needs. While the key responsibilities cover the main duties of the role, additional tasks aligned with the general scope and level of responsibility may be required.
Additional Information
Salary
circa. £28,000 – £35,000 – subject to skills and experience.
12 Month Fixed term contract with possibility of extension subject to business needs.
