Infrastructure Gateway Ltd is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Technician to join our growing Design Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to take the lead on large-scale electrical design schemes, supporting the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing and managing electrical designs from concept through to approval while providing technical guidance and support to the wider team
The Role:
Produce high-quality electrical design drawings, engineering reports and technical documentation
Lead and manage electrical designs from start to completion
Review and check LV and HV designs produced by Design Technicians
Manage electrical Points of Connection (POCs) and design submissions to DNOs and IDNOs
Liaise with third-party network owners and distribution network operators
Ensure designs comply with G81 standards, NERS procedures and Distribution Safety Rules
Support and mentor junior members of the design team
Coordinate design progress meetings and provide technical input across the business
Manage workload allocation and prioritisation within the design team
What you’ll need:
Experience working within the electrical or utilities sector
Proven experience producing electrical design work
Experience working with DNOs and IDNOs
Knowledge of G81 standards
Experience using CAD software
Experience completing electrical studies using WinDebut or VisNet
Knowledge of earthing studies
Strong communication and organisational skills <button>

Electrical qualifications at any level relevant to the role
