We're a friendly, community-focused 9-hole golf club with a growing visitor base and a welcoming team. We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Clubhouse Assistant to work directly under our General Manager, helping keep the club running smoothly day to day.
This is a flexible role — pay and responsibilities are tailored to what you can bring to the team, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week and plenty of opportunity to take on more.
The role
Working under the General Manager, you'll be a key part of the team — covering front-of-house shifts and helping with the wider running of the club. Depending on your experience, you may take on some or all of the following:
- Covering front-of-house shifts, welcoming members and visitors and delivering great service
- Supporting the General Manager in day-to-day club operations
- Opening and/or closing the clubhouse as required
- Assisting with bookings, member enquiries, and general admin
- Helping coordinate club events, competitions, and functions
- Contributing to social media, email campaigns, and local marketing
- Responding to online reviews and customer feedback
- Supporting staff coordination and operational efficiency
About you
We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds — what matters most is a positive attitude and a genuine interest in delivering great service. You might be ideal if you:
- Have experience in hospitality, leisure, or a customer-facing environment
- Are organised, reliable, and confident taking initiative
- Communicate well and enjoy working with people
- Are comfortable with basic admin and computer tasks
- Are happy to be flexible with hours, including opening/closing shifts
- Have an interest in social media or marketing (useful, not essential)
- Have an interest in golf (also useful, but not essential!)

- £13.00–£14.50 per hour depending on experience and responsibilities taken on
