Receptionist/Dental Nurse – Specialist Dental Practice
The essentials:
- Full-time hours available
- Mondays 8.30am - 5pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 8.30am - 6pm and Fridays 8.30am - 1pm. Opportunity for additional hours and overtime pay to cover practice evening hours until 8pm on a Tuesdays (not required on a regular basis)
- Competitive hourly rate from £13.79 per hour for GDC registered candidates in line with experience. From £13 per hour for non-dental candidates.

Receptionist – Specialist Dental Practice
We are looking for an experienced, professional, and personable Receptionist/dental nurse to join our busy specialist dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dedicated team providing exceptional patient care in a modern, high-quality clinical environment.
Please note: Previous experience working within the dental field is essential. Applications from candidates without dental practice experience will not be considered.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience. You will be responsible for managing the reception desk, coordinating appointments, supporting clinicians, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Managing appointment bookings, recalls, and diary scheduling.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Liaising with clinicians and the wider practice team.
- Ensuring the reception area is organised, professional, and patient-focused.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dental practice reception role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using dental practice management software.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Professional appearance and a friendly, positive attitude.
Desirable
- Qualified Dental Nurse or previous dental nursing experience.
Candidates with a dental nursing qualification or substantial nursing experience will be considered for an enhanced salary, reflecting their additional clinical knowledge and ability to provide greater flexibility within the practice.
