Welder – Sparkford
£15.50 per hour | Permanent | 40 Hours per Week | Immediate Start Available
Nu Staff are recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Sparkford. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a skilled Welder looking to secure stable work with plenty of overtime available.
You’ll play a key role in the production process, carrying out TIG welding, fabrication, and assembly work to a high standard while following specifications and drawings.
Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week, Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4.30pm, Fri – 7.30am – 13.30pm
- Overtime available regularly (paid at enhanced rates)
Pay Rate:
- £15.50 per hour
- Overtime readily available
Key Responsibilities:
- TIG weld metal components to a high standard
- Read and interpret drawings, weld instructions, and measurements
- Set up, position, and align components for welding
- Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium
- Use powered saws and other fabrication tools to cut and prep materials
- Follow production plans and ERP work orders accurately
- Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
- Support other production areas when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven TIG welding experience (essential)
- Fabrication experience including reading drawings
- Ability to weld different metals (aluminium, mild steel, stainless)
- Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
- Self-motivated with a positive, proactive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Welding qualifications beneficial but not essential
