Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Production Operative to join our dynamic and growing team at Clotton Creamery. We produce a range of dairy products including clotted cream, custard, rice pudding and alcoholic dairy products. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the food production process, ensuring that all operations adhere to strict food safety standards and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of HACCP principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform as part of a small team. As a Food Production Operative you will play a key role in our production process, ensuring seamless operations and maintain our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure efficient operation.
- Follow established procedures for food safety and quality control, including HACCP protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of food products while adhering to quality standards.
- Undertake necessary training to be HACCP and CCP aware within our food safety system.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Record production data accurately for reporting purposes.
- To undertake regular organoleptic product testing including testing clotted cream, fresh custard and rice pudding.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations is desirable but not essential. Training will be given.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is preferred.
