Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for those that have a background in education; quality assurance and leading and developing various curriculum areas. You will be at the forefront of shaping and enhancing teaching and learning to ensure our students receive unique learning opportunities and experiences that meet their needs and aspirations, maximising their opportunities beyond college life.
We are seeking to appoint a Quality and Curriculum Manager who can drive continuous quality assurance and improvement across all four college campuses, ensuring all students consistently receive the highest possible quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
Applicants for this position must be able to demonstrate that they have a teaching qualification, Cert ed or a PGCE as minimum.
Responsibilities
- Line manager to curriculum coordinators to ensure consistency and compliance is met across all campuses and address under-performance in an appropriate and timely way.
- Responsible for the development and delivery design of accredited and non-accredited programmes of study, maximising skills for work and life along with addressing local, regional and national skills requirements.
- Assist the Assistant Principal to strategically drive all aspects of quality assurance across the provision including, assessing the quality of teaching and learning, quality audits and deep dives which feed into quality improvement strategies.
- Design, deliver and facilitate training for staff that fosters a culture of quality and continuous development.
- Assist the lead IQA to ensure the requirements of awarding and funding bodies are adhered to and support the preparation for external reviews. Manage a set case load for IQA sampling.
- Lead and motivate teams to ensure curriculum delivery provides opportunities and choice that enhances the overall student journey; including ensuring the curriculum aligns with labor market needs.
- Lead by example in promoting quality improvement strategies.
- Lead teams by providing a highly professional, positive, pro-active and creative approach.
- Drive the development of curriculum design, ensuring that teams fully understand the curriculum intent and implement this effectively.
- Assist the assistant principal with curriculum projects and initiatives to widen opportunities and choice for students.
- Seek and respond to the views of students liaising with the student union to enhance their overall college experience.
- Lead the development of, and monitor key teaching and learning documents, including schemes of work, tracking documentation, lesson planning, individualised target setting and any other course materials relevant to enhance overall curriculum delivery.
- Ensure that student EHCP outcomes are met through accurate and appropriate study programmes. Support staff in reporting progress against outcomes in a timely way to inform EHCP review processes.
