We're on the hunt for a qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse (or a strong trainee) to join our team at Pollok/Silverburn, working four days a week(part time considered) . Our whole approach is built around stress-free dentistry, for the people in the chair and the people running the day. Nobody here is expected to quietly carry stress so someone else has it easier. You'll work in close step with your dentist, staying a beat ahead of what's needed so small issues get caught before they turn into big ones.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting dentists through a range of procedures, keeping patients comfortable and safe throughout
- Setting up treatment rooms and sterilising equipment to current health and safety standards
- Giving patients clear pre- and post-treatment guidance, including oral hygiene advice
- Keeping patient records accurate in Dentally and appointment schedules well organised
- Making sure clinical work stays aligned with current protocols and legal requirements
- Pitching in on reception duties when needed — greeting patients, handling enquiries
- Helping keep the practice clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through the door
What We're Looking For
- Current GDC registration and a recognised Dental Nurse qualification (NEBDN or equivalent) — desirable but not essential
- Some experience in dental patient care is a plus
- Someone who spots problems early and gets ahead of them, rather than reacting afterward
- A communicator who'd rather flag something early than explain it later
- Comfortable with practice management software (we run on Dentally)
- Friendly, professional, and easy to be around — relaxed, not clinical and cold
- A caring approach to patients, with an eye for detail and discretion
