We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient and caring Therapeutic Care Practitioner to join our team.

What you’ll do
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Provide high-quality, therapeutic and trauma-informed care
- Support emotional regulation, routines, education and independence
- Respond to challenging behaviour with empathy and professional curiosity
- Support safeguarding, care planning, risk management and recording
- Work with families and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
- Administer medication in line with procedures
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming and supportive home environment
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have experience working with children or young people in residential care, supported accommodation, education, youth work or a similar setting, particularly those with complex emotional needs, challenging behaviours or heightened risks.
You’ll need:
- Strong safeguarding awareness
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- A professional and consistent approach
- Knowledge/experience of DOLO arrangements and HSB
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- A full UK driving licence where required
Experience of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches and a relevant childcare/social care qualification are desirable.

Hours: 365-day rota, including weekends and bank holidays
Salary: £32,700 – £35,298* per year (including £65 per sleep-in)
*Salary dependent on qualifications and minimum sleep-ins undertaken.
