Cover People are recruiting for a motivated and dedicated Primary ECT to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Stockport on a maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to gain valuable experience within a supportive setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach within a primary classroom, delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Year group allocation will be discussed with the successful candidate based on experience and school requirements.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before September 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum

Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
