Pennine Recruitment, acting as an employment business, are delighted to be recruiting for a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join an established business in Wakefield on a full time, temporary ongoing basis.
In this role you will be working as part of a small team and you will be a big part of ensuring the companies continued growth by ensuring the effective distribution of their products!
Please note: this role is for a true warehouse all-rounder. As such you won't solely be working on a Forklift. You will be expected to pick/pack orders, check stock and even pick up a sweeping brush from time to time!
Key responsibilities include:
- Picking, palletising and preparing products for dispatch – shrink wrap, band and label
- Unload deliveries and complete paperwork
- Use forklifts and reach trucks to handle awkwardly shaped products
- Load trucks – using forklifts
- Ensure warehouse kept clean and tidy and organise the yard
- Scanning goods in and out
- Movement of finished goods and raw materials
To be successful, you will:
- Require a Counterbalance licence and be a confident driver
- Flexi Truck License would be desirable
- Be a team player
- Promote a good team attitude
- Have good oral communication skills
- Be adaptable
- Have excellent organisation and planning skills
- Be flexible and be able to work overtime if required
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm
