We are recruiting for a capable and reliable Night Shift Conference Porter to join our busy hotel and conference centre team.
You must be flexible and able to work a night shift pattern of 5 days over 7.
About the role
As a Conference Porter your duties will include preparation and equipping of both AV and conference equipment; moving furniture and equipment in accordance with our customers' needs; assisting customers with any requests they might have regarding room changes and supplies etc.

MAIN DUTIES:
- To set up and break down the function rooms to the required standard.
- To service the conference and function rooms, ensuring adequate supply of stationery etc.
- To assist with any guests/conference delegates requests.
- To assist in the selling of the Conference & Banqueting product whenever required.
- To clean all function rooms as and when required, so that all rooms and storage rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- To be responsible for the safe keeping and storage of all hotel-owned or hired banqueting equipment.
- To report any maintenance defects to the Maintenance Department, or Duty Manager.
- To comply with company image standards by wearing correct and clean uniform at all times, including name badge.
- To act in accordance with fire instructions
- To observe all security, health & safety regulations.
- To ensure that any hazard is immediately reported to your Manager or Duty Manager.
- To maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of your work
- To ensure the restaurant is set up to standard for breakfast guests
- To deal with customer requests and late night arrivals to the hotel
- To serve out of food and drink to overnight guests
