W Burton & Sons, a well-established family-run timber and builders’ merchant, is seeking a reliable and motivated Timber Yard Assistant to join our Bramshall depot team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys practical work in a busy yard environment.
The Role • • • • •
Loading and unloading timber and building materials
Picking and preparing customer orders
Assisting trade and retail customers in the yard
Maintaining yard cleanliness and organisation
Operating and caring for fork lift trucks (experience preferred)
What We’re Looking For • • • • •
Previous yard or merchant experience advantageous
Fork lift truck experience desirable
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling Professional, customer-focused attitude
Reliable and punctual
Hours: Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, plus 1 Saturday morning in 4
