Stryke Studio is a growing fitness and training facility in the heart of Beckenham. We're looking for a commercially driven Gym Manager whose mission is twofold: grow our membership base and run a first-class facility day to day.
The Role
This is a growth-focused management position. You'll own the numbers — leads, sign-ups, retention — while keeping the studio running smoothly and looking sharp. If you're the kind of manager who checks the sales pipeline before your morning coffee and walks the floor before opening, this is your role.
Membership Growth — Your Priority
- Own the full sales funnel: lead generation, follow-up, tours, and sign-ups
- Hit monthly membership growth and retention targets
- Reduce churn through proactive member engagement, check-ins, and win-back campaigns
- Plan and run local marketing: social media, referral schemes, corporate partnerships, open days, and community events
- Track and report membership KPIs to ownership — conversions, attrition, revenue per member
- Identify upsell opportunities: PT packages, class passes, merchandise
Daily Facility Management
- Oversee daily operations, opening/closing procedures, and studio presentation
- Manage front-of-house staff and coaching rotas
- Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and health & safety standards
- Manage class schedules, bookings, and studio capacity
- Handle member communications, feedback, and complaint resolution
- Control operating costs and supplier relationships
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years' management experience in a gym, studio, or leisure facility
- Demonstrable track record of growing memberships — you'll be asked about your numbers
- Confident with sales, marketing, and CRM/booking software
- Strong people management and customer service skills
- Organised, hands-on, and commercially sharp
- First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
