The Cheltenham Car Company is a growing independent used car dealership specialising in exceptional low-mileage, low-owner vehicles with outstanding provenance and service history. Our carefully selected stock regularly includes prestige, performance and enthusiast vehicles alongside some of the finest examples of everyday cars available on the market. We pride ourselves on sourcing genuinely special vehicles, presenting them to the highest possible standard and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and organised individual to join our small team and become an important part of the business as we continue to grow.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will become involved in many aspects of running a busy independent dealership, helping to ensure our vehicles and customer experience meet the high standards we are known for.
Location
Our dealership is based near Hasfield, Gloucester (approximately 15 minutes from Gloucester, 20 minutes from Cheltenham and 10 minutes from Tewkesbury).
Due to our rural location, applicants must have a full UK driving licence and their own transport to commute reliably.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- 1 hour unpaid lunch break
- Every other Saturday 9:00am – 4:00pm
- One weekday off in lieu when working Saturday, with flexibility to choose your preferred day.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing vehicles for sale
- Cleaning and presenting vehicles to a high standard
- Organising vehicle files, paperwork and records
- Assisting with vehicle advertising and online listings
- Taking vehicles to MOTs, servicing and repair appointments
- Collecting and delivering vehicles when required
- Managing customer enquiries and appointments
- Assisting with sales administration and customer paperwork
- Helping organise vehicle preparation schedules
- Keeping the premises and stock vehicles well presented
- General administration and day-to-day operational support
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Confident using computers and technology
- Friendly and professional manner
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to use initiative and work independently when required
- Comfortable working in a small business environment
Previous motor trade experience is welcome but not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to become a valued member of the team.
